Summary
As a member of the Aquatics team, This position assists in providing the public with a safe and enjoyable experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists to create a fun and safe environment for patrons.
- Responsible for the safe operation of pool amenities and inflatables.
- Plans, leads and assists with special events, themed swims and birthday parties.
- Communicates with patrons on water safety topics and facility standards.
- Assists to ensure aquatic areas are clean and safe, including ensuring equipment is stored appropriately.
- Assists Lifeguards in emergencies, gathering rescue equipment and providing crowd control.
- Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD.
- Performs other duties as required.
Additional Information
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, days and evenings, and on an as-and-when-required basis.

- Understanding of theory and practical skills related to water safety and injury prevention.
- Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow direction as part of a team.

- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.
