Applicants must be available for the following orientation dates and times: May 23 (9am - 2pm), May 24 (2:30pm - 6:30pm). Applicants who have not yet completed their National Lifeguard or Swim Instructor certifications, but are enrolled in either of those programs, are welcome to apply.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lifeguard a diverse set of activities
- Ensuring effective program instruction in a fun and safe manner for participants
- Assists with the delivery of special events
- Ensuring cleanliness of pool deck and surrounding areas.
- May be required to assist with administration duties as required.
- Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD.
- Performs other duties as required.

Key Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
- Familiar with emergency procedures and able to respond accordingly
- Knowledgeable of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently with general supervision in a relatively structured environment

- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.
- National Lifeguard Certificate
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Lifesaving Swim Instructor
