Notes: Seeking Racquet Sports Program Monitors for badminton, pickleball and squash programming.
Hours of Work: Available shifts include:
Badminton weekly Mondays, 7-9:45pm, at North Saanich Middle School.
Pickleball weekly Thursday and/or Fridays, 6-8:45pm, at North Saanich Middle School.
Squash weekly Thursdays, 6:30-8:30pm, at Panorama Recreation Centre.
*No sessions on statutory holidays and through School District 63 vacation periods. Pickleball opportunities also available at the Multi Sport Box in Centennial Park. Shifts to be determined based on candidate availability and operational requirements.

Summary
This position is responsible for monitoring drop-in racquet sports programming, including the set up and take down of equipment required. As a key member of the Arena and Sport team, the Racquet Sports Program Monitor will work to maintain a welcoming, safe and inclusive recreational drop-in sport environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Sets up and takes down required equipment.
- Promotes a safe, friendly and enjoyable recreational atmosphere.
- Works to ensure fair, inclusive rotation of play.
- Works to ensure safe, sportsmanlike participation; sharing rules and policies as appropriate.
- Confirms attendee receipt of payment.
- Maintains attendance and other relevant records.
- Completes visual safety checks of activity area and loaner equipment prior to public use.
- Administers minor first aid and completes appropriate reports.
- Acts as a liaison between the CRD and public.
- Works cooperatively with other staff members.
- Maintains safe work practices.
- Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.
