Summary
This position will deliver high quality group fitness classes that meet the needs of our diverse community on the Saanich Peninsula.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- The incumbent must have the skill to plan a safe and effective fitness class that is both motivating and challenging for the participants.
- They must also have the skill to incorporate choreography to music and utilize various exercise apparatus such as balls, tubes, bands and light-weights into the lesson plan if necessary.
- The instructor must follow all policies, procedures and standards of Panorama Recreation and the CRD.

Key Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to instruct a variety of classes including Hi Lo Choreography, Step, Total Body Conditioning, TRX, HIIT and Spin (indoor cycling).
- Customer service and public relations experience.

Certifications
- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.
- Fitness Leader Certification (BCRPA or equivalent)
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
